About Frank Cicco, Sr.

When Fedele Cicco came to this country from Calabria in 1910, he brought the skills of the Italian tailoring industry with him. The Cicco tradition of fine tailored suits is continued today by Fedele’s son, Frank Sr. Frank began working at age 12, but his father died two years later. His early exposure to tailoring and the death of his father made his career decision rather easy.

Frank Sr. is dedicated to preserving his highly skilled profession of custom tailoring. In addition to training his two sons, Frank Sr. is also active in the custom tailoring industry. For many years he has been an active member of the Custom Tailors and Designers Association, a national organization for custom tailors founded in 1881. He has served as president of the organization, as well as treasurer with consistent service on the association’s committees. Recently, Frank served as an instructor for the organization’s new education program, designed to help pass along the precious knowledge of Master Tailors to others in the industry. His class on pattern manipulation was heralded as one of the most technical and informative on the program.
